When you use our services, you’re trusting us with your information. We understand this is a big responsibility and we really work hard to protect your information and put you in control. We value the trust you place in us. That's why we insist upon the highest standards for secure user and customer information privacy. Please read the following statements to learn about our information gathering and dissemination practices.
1. Information we collect
1.1 You provide us
(i) The following information is collected by or on behalf of BAE
(ii) When you start using the App Services, we use Google and Truecaller Sign-In as part of the registration process, and in the course of your interface with the App.
(iii) At the time of registration with Google and Truecaller Sign-In, we collect the following personal information. Name (First Name, Last Name), Mobile Number, Email ID, Date of Birth, Gender
(iv) Use our Services, we may collect and store information about you to process your requests and automatically complete forms for future transactions, including (but not limited to) your phone number, address, email, billing information and credit or payment card information.
(v) You sign in to the Bae Platform through third-party sign-in services such as Google or Gmail or Truecaller or similar site (collectively, “SNS”), an option of which may be provided to you by Bae at its sole discretion, you will be allowing us to pass through and receive from the SNS your log-in information and other user data; or
(vi) Pursuant to the services consumed by you from time to time, we may seek additional information including address or location coordinates in order to enhance your experience on our App. You may choose to provide such information if you choose to use these services provided by the App.
(vii) Provide content to us, which may include favourite and wishlisted offers, ordering details and history, special merchant requests and other information you provide on the Bae Platform (“Your Content”).
(viii) Enable features that require Bae's access to your address book or calendar;
(ix) Report problems for troubleshooting.
(x) If you sign up to use our Services as a merchant(business) or a delivery partner, we may collect location details, copies of government identification documents and other details (KYC), call and SMS details.
1.2 Information created by you
(i) We collect information from you in the form of chat details. The chat details can be defined as the transaction of textual information between you and technical AI. Further, when you visit our website/app, we may log certain information such as your IP address, browser type, mobile operating system, manufacturer and model of your mobile device, geolocation, preferred language, access time, and time spent. We will also collect information about the pages you view within our app and other actions you take while visiting our website/app. From time to time, during your use of the App Services, BAE may require access to certain additional information such as SMS & contact details to carry out a couple of operations for you. Prior to accessing any such information, explicit consent shall be sought from ‘you’ as the user.
(ii) We also maintain some records of users who contact us for support, for the purpose of responding to such queries and other related activities. However, we do not provide this information to any third party without your permission, or utilize the same for any purposes not set out hereunder.
1.3 Information we collect about you
(i) When you communicate with us (via email, phone, through the Bae Platform or otherwise), we may maintain a record of your communication;
(ii) Location information Depending on the Services that you use, and your app settings or device permissions, we may collect your real time information, or approximate location information as determined through data such as GPS, IP address;
(iv) Transaction Information We collect transaction details related to your use of our Services, and information about your activity on the Services, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL), the type of Services you requested or provided, comments, domain names, search results selected, number of clicks, information and pages viewed and searched for, the order of those pages, length of your visit to our Services, the date and time you used the Services, amount charged, details regarding application of promotional code, methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our customer service number and other related transaction details;
(v) Device Information We may collect information about the devices you use to access our Services, including the hardware models, operating systems and versions, software, file names and versions, preferred languages, unique device identifiers, advertising identifiers, serial numbers, device motion information and mobile network information. Analytics companies may use mobile device IDs to track your usage of the Bae Platform;
(vi) Stored information and files Bae mobile application (Bae app) may also access metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your mobile device. This may include, for example, photographs, audio and video clips, personal contacts and address book information. If you permit the Bae app to access the address book on your device, we may collect names and contact information from your address book to facilitate social interactions through our services and for other purposes described in this Policy or at the time of consent or collection. If you permit the Bae app to access the calendar on your device, we collect calendar information such as event title and description, your response (Yes, No, Maybe), date and time, location and number of attendees.
(vii) If you are a partner restaurant, merchant(business) or a delivery partner, we will, additionally, record your calls with us made from the device used to provide Services, related call details, SMS details location and address details.
2. Why we collect what we collect
We collect the information we mentioned above in order to build better products and services for you.
We use your information in order to:
2.1 Maintain and improve our services for you
(i) Any information provided by ‘you’ as a User will be used solely for creating and updating your Account or for any other purposes for which you have granted access to such information to us, based on your interaction with the BAE App.
(ii) All personal information provided by you on our website/app which has been duly received and accepted by us will be used solely for the purpose of improving the quality of the service on the App.
(iii) We may use the information collected to perform internal operations necessary to provide our services, including to troubleshoot software bugs and operational problems, to conduct data analysis, testing and research and to monitor and analyse usage and activity trends.
We process this personal information for these purposes given our legitimate interest in improving the App Services.
2.2 Measure security and performance
(i) We may use the personal information to create and maintain a safe environment and use the same to detect and prevent spam, abuse, security incidents and other harmful activity.
(ii) We blend security at multiple steps within Bae with state of the art technology to ensure our systems maintain strong security measures. The overall data and privacy security design allows us defend our systems ranging from low hanging issue up to sophisticated attacks.
(iii) When it comes to performance, we use the information to measure the performance of our services with certain quality parameters in order to give you as a user a seamless experience.
3.1 We use data collection devices such as “cookies”, etc. on certain parts of the App to help analyse the App Services, user interaction with the App, measure promotional effectiveness, and promote trust and safety. For the sake of clarity, “cookies” are small files placed on your device hard-drive/storage that assist us in providing the App Services. Please be informed that BAE offers certain features via the App that are only available through the use of a “cookie”.
(i) Authenticating users;
(ii) Remembering user preferences and settings;
(iii) Determining the popularity of content;
(iv) Delivering and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns;
(v) Analysing site traffic and trends, and generally understanding the online behaviours and interests of people who interact with our services.
4. DISCLOSURE AND DISTRIBUTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
We may share your information that we collect for following purposes:
4.1 With Service Providers We may share your information with our vendors, consultants, marketing partners, research firms and other service providers or business partners, such as Payment processing companies, to support our business. For example, your information may be shared with outside vendors to send you emails and messages or push notifications to your devices in relation to our Services, to help us analyze and improve the use of our Services, to process and collect payments. We also may use vendors for other projects, such as conducting surveys or organizing sweepstakes for us.
4.2 With Partner Merchant/Businesses: While you place a request to order food through the Bae Platform, your information is provided to us and to the restaurants/merchants with whom you may choose to order. In order to facilitate your online food order processing, we provide your information to that restaurant/merchant in a similar manner as if you had made a food order directly with the restaurant. If you provide a mobile phone number, Bae may send you text messages regarding the order’s delivery status.
4.3 With Other Users If you are a delivery partner, we may share your name, phone number and/or profile picture (if applicable), tracking details with other users to provide them the Services.
4.4 For Crime Prevention or Investigation We may share this information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting us, when we are:
(i) Obligated under the applicable laws or in good faith to respond to court orders and processes; or
(ii) Detecting and preventing against actual or potential occurrence of identity theft, fraud, abuse of Services and other illegal acts;
(iii) Responding to claims that an advertisement, posting or other content violates the intellectual property rights of a third party;
4.5 For Internal Use We may share your information with any present or future member of our “Group” (as defined below)or affiliates for our internal business purposes The term “Group” means, with respect to any person, any entity that is controlled by such person, or any entity that controls such person, or any entity that is under common control with such person, whether directly or indirectly, or, in the case of a natural person, any Relative (as such term is defined in the Companies Act, 1956 and Companies Act, 2013 to the extent applicable) of such person.
5. Data Security Precautions
5.1 We have in place appropriate technical and security measures to secure the information collected by us.
5.2 We use vault and tokenization services from third party service providers to protect the sensitive personal information provided by you. The third-party service providers with respect to our vault and tokenization services and our payment gateway and payment processing are compliant with the payment card industry standard (generally referred to as PCI compliant service providers). You are advised not to send your full credit/debit card details through unencrypted electronic platforms.
5.3 Please we aware that the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted through the Bae Platform. Once we have received your information, we will use strict physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to try to prevent unauthorised access.
